2019 was a bumper year for Cambridge English exams, with an increasing number of organisations relying on the tests as proof of English language ability.
Last September it was announced that a record-breaking 25,000 organisations now accept the exams. California State University, Long Beach in the USA was officially announced as the 25,000th organisation to join the list.
Other organisations to join the list in 2019 include big names from the university, ministerial and workplace sectors. These include Stanford University, Dartmouth College, UC SI University Malaysia and University of Cairo. Names from the corporate sector include Tokyo 2020 (Japan), Mercedes Benz (Spain), DHL Shared Services (Asia Pacific, Malaysia) and PepsiCo (Portugal). Ministerial recognitions include CENNI, Mexico, CFA France, South African Qualifications Authority and the Department of Tourism in Catalunya.
It was also recently announced that Cambridge Assessment English has revamped its online global recognition database to make it easier to find out who recognises the Cambridge English exams. Find out more about this, including who recognises the Cambridge English exams, on our dedicated Recognition page.
