Cambridge English Qualifications are now integrated into the Coalition for College’s application, which helps thousands of students apply for a place at US universities. The Coalition’s application, which is integrated within the Scoir college-planning platform, now lists B2 First, C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency from Cambridge University Press & Assessment. It means students applying via the Coalition for undergraduate courses can easily show their Cambridge English Qualifications certificates to colleges and universities across the US.
B2 First, C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency are high-level qualifications that cover the real-life communication skills that students need to follow an academic course at university level and participate with confidence in tutorials and seminars. C2 Proficiency in particular shows students have mastered English to an exceptional level. All three qualifications are produced by Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
The Coalition for College is a member organisation of more than 150 colleges and universities with a shared commitment to access, affordability, and student success. Members of this organisation have the shared goal to help students from historically underrepresented communities obtain more support to access higher education. This year, the Coalition launched a new application process with their partners at Scoir, one that’s embedded within additional tools that support students through the college search and application process.

More than 25,000 organisations around the world recognise the Cambridge English exams as proof of English language ability. The list of US-based institutions that recognise Cambridge English Qualifications as proof of English language ability is constantly growing.
